Dynolicious for Android Please

Postby gimpylegg on Fri Nov 06, 2009 1:16 am

Wondering if there is any progress or plans for Dynolicious for Android. It would be so great. Thanks.

There are some of us who refuse to go with AT&T which means no iphone for us :( The new Motorola droid has the same processor, larger screen, higher resolution and android 2.0 ! This looks like a great platform for Dynolicios !

One of the reasons I got a smartphone with accelerometer.

Heard much ado about this app.... I want to use it with my phone (Motorola Droid).

Droid has adyno, been using that.... but I know dynolicious is better developed and perhaps more accurate. I would be willing to pay money for it over the "other" free app, if dynolicious comes out. (But it would be better if it were free, or only a few bucks.)

Funny how the iPhone crowd complains about paying, what is the cost... $12??? for this app.... Pretty much everything is free or low cost on the Droid! Love it!!!!

I've been using this app on my iPod Touch for a long time now, and I absolutely love it. The dyno chart read a little lower than my actual numbers, but then again I ran my car on a Dynojet (high reading). The reading returned by Dynolicious would probably sit right between Mustang dyno numbers and Dynojet dyno numbers. Also, the quarter mile time was within .05s and 1mph of my actual run. Awesome program, incredibly capable for 12 bucks, and right now stands as the only reason I'm keeping my iPod. I picked up a Droid on Saturday.

To the Dynolicious crew: you guys make an amazing product! I know it takes work, but if this comes out for Android 2.0, you can rest assured I (along with many others) will be buying a copy without hesitation.

Update: It's 8 months later. The iPhone 2 is out, the Droid 2 is soon to be released. The Droid apps for dyno have been developed and cleaned up. Annnnnndddd..... Nothing here. *YAWN*

The dyno apps for the Droid have been pretty well developed. They also happen to be free or really low cost. Search the market for "dyno" and you will find at least two really good FREE ones. The important thing is to put in your cars actual weight, not the GVWR. I'm very happy with mine... more accurate than the folks here are reporting with dynolicious, I go to an NHRA dragstrip for my times/comparisons... very accurate times with the Droid. Too bad these guys didn't see the need for Android...
